One of the last artists in the Tiny Shed studio before our temporary closure, rapper Rucku$ was a breath of fresh air. Why music? Simple: “Being a part of something bigger than me. I wanted to do something different. Always knew deep down it was music,” he professes, with a warm, brown-eyed smile.

Everything important in life is an oxymoron. My new favorite walking example of this phenomenon is Eerie Jane, the stage alias of Jane Raagas, a Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

What is Fusion LA by Emily Lautch. Fusion. It’s not a set thing. Live music events are typically categorized; you’ve got tickets to a punk show, an indie show, a jazz show, and so on. Cesar Gandara wants to transcend genre—and for a good cause. 

Musician Dani Hobbs relocated from rainy Seattle to sunny Los Angeles a mere 10 days before their first recording session at Tiny Shed LA. They kicked off their time at the shed by gracing us with their first original song in five years. 

Arch Stanton's music is unapologetically honest and his character is undeniably endearing. He carries his history in his stride. At the age of 25, he has been playing guitar for 20 years. He claims, he couldn’t give it up even if he wanted to.

After hand building studio acoustic panels that could be linked together, hung up and placed on walls for the Tiny Shed LA, we were eager to test out the space and get some feedback from a local musician. It was after a solid week of rain here in Los Angeles when Marc Babcock joined us.
